Mechanism of action

Its mechanism of action involves transferrin-mediated delivery of a modified diphtheria toxin that is capable of selectively killing cancer cells. The agent is administered directly into the glioma using convection enhanced delivery to circumvent the blood-brain barrier and achieve high local concentrations of the drug.
