Polyinosinic-polycytidylic acid: Overview.
- Mechanism
- Curator reviewed
Polyinosinic:polycytidylic acid is an analog of double-stranded RNA with potential to act as a vaccine adjuvant to enhance innate and adapative immune responses. It activates toll-like receptor 3 (TLR3) and retinoic acid inducible gene 1 (RIG-I)-like receptors, which has been shown to trigger apoptosis in cancer cells.
