Drug Drug Description Desmopressin A synthetic analog of vasopressin used to reduce renal excretion of water in central diabetes insipidus and nocturia. Vasopressin A peptide hormone used to increase blood pressure in patients with vasodilatory shock who are resistant to fluid and catecholamine therapy. Oxytocin A recombinant hormone used to induce or strengthen uterine contractions in pregnant women to aid in labor and delivery or to control postpartum bleeding. Felypressin For use as an alternative to adrenaline as a localising agent, provided that local ischaemia is not essential.
