- Growth Hormone
- Accession Number
Growth hormone (somatotropin) can be synthesized with methods of recombinant DNA technology. Since action of GH is highly species-specific, recombinant growth hormones of several species (including humans, cows, and pigs) have been developed. They have been used to stimulate growth.
Drug Drug Description Somatotropin A form of recombinant human growth hormone used to treat dwarfism, growth hormone deficiency, and acromegaly as well as to prevent weight loss in HIV patients. Somatrem A recombinant growth hormone used to treat adult growth hormone deficiency and treat disrupted growth in children due to growth hormone insufficiency or deficiency, turner's syndrome, chronic renal failure, and small stature for gestational age. Somapacitan A human growth hormone analog subcutaneous injection indicated for adults with growth hormone deficiency. Somatropin pegol Somatropin pegol is under investigation in clinical trial NCT00715689 (Dose Study in Growth Hormone Deficient Adults Investigating Safety, Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics of NNC126-0083). Albusomatropin Albusomatropin has been used in trials studying the treatment of Growth Hormone-Deficiency and Growth Hormone Deficiency.
