Mechanism of action

HLX70 is a genetically engineered anti-spike protein-1 fully-humanized monoclonal antibody and a typical IgG1 Kappa immunoglobulin. It targets the receptor-binding domain (RBD) of the S1 subunit of the spike protein of SARS-CoV-2, competitively binding at this domain with a higher affinity to block the human angiotensin II converting enzyme 2 with viral RBD, which protects the cells from viral entry and infection.
