A class of drugs that act by selective inhibition of calcium influx through cellular membranes. The antiarrhythmic (non-dihydropyridine) calcium channel blockers block L-type calcium-channels; most effective at SA and AV nodes; reduce rate and conduction of the cardiac muscle.
