Drug Drug Description Nedocromil A pyrano quinoline used to treat allergic conjunctivitis. Olopatadine A histamine H1 antagonist used to treat allergic conjunctivitis and rhinitis. Ketotifen A histamine H1 receptor blocker and mast cell stabilizer used to treat mild atopic asthma and allergic conjunctivitis. Lodoxamide An ophthalmic agent used for the treatment of the ocular disorders referred to by the terms vernal keratoconjunctivitis, vernal conjunctivitis, and vernal keratitis. Omalizumab A monoclonal anti-immunoglobulin E (IgE) antibody used to treat asthma, chronic idiopathic urticaria, chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps, and IgE-mediated food allergy. Clemastine An antihistamine with sedative and anticholinergic effects used to treat the symptoms of allergic rhinitis. Fluorometholone An ophthalmic corticosteroid used for the relief of inflammation located in both the palpebral and bulbar conjunctiva, the cornea, and the anterior segment of the globe of the eye. Cetirizine A selective Histamine-1 antagonist drug used in allergic rhinitis and chronic urticaria. Triprolidine A sedating antihistamine combined with pseudoephedrine and guaifenesin in various types of cold and allergy medications to relieve allergy symptoms, hay fever and common cold symptoms, and to aid in sleep. Cyproheptadine A combined serotonin and histamine antagonist used in the treatment of allergic symptoms, for appetite stimulation, and off-label in the treatment of serotonin syndrome. Loratadine A second generation antihistamine used to manage the symptoms of allergic rhinitis. Fluticasone propionate A glucocorticoid used to treat asthma, inflammatory pruritic dermatoses, and nonallergic rhinitis. Astemizole A second generation antihistamine used to treat allergy symptoms. Meclizine A histamine H1 antagonist used to treat nausea, vomiting, and dizziness associated with motion sickness. Mometasone A corticosteroid with no indications. Tripelennamine A histamine H1 antagonist used to treat hypersensitivity reactions, coughs, and the common cold. Brompheniramine A histamine H1 antagonist used to treat coughs, upper respiratory symptoms, and nasal congestion associated with allergies and the common cold. Loteprednol etabonate A corticosteroid used to treat allergic conjunctivitis as well as inflammation and pain after ocular surgery. Fexofenadine A selective H1-antagonist for the symptomatic treatment of seasonal allergic rhinitis and chronic idiopathic urticaria. Azelastine A histamine H1-receptor antagonist used intranasally to treat allergic and vasomotor rhinitis and in an ophthalmic solution to treat allergic conjunctivitis. Amlexanox Used as a paste in the mouth to treat aphthous ulcers (canker sores). Fluocinonide A high potency corticosteroid commonly used topically for a number of inflammatory skin conditions. Promethazine A first-generation antihistamine used for the treatment of allergic conditions, nausea and vomiting, and motion sickness. Mequitazine For the treatment of Hay fever, urticaria (hives) and allergic rhinitis Diphenhydramine A H1 receptor antihistamine used in the treatment of seasonal allergies, and various allergic reactions including sneezing, runny nose, itchy/watery eyes, itching of nose or throat, pruritus, urticaria, insect bites/stings, and allergic rashes. Emedastine A selective H1-receptor antagonist used topically to manage symptoms of allergic conjunctivitis. Chlorpheniramine A histamine-H1 receptor antagonist indicated for the management of symptoms associated with upper respiratory allergies. Ciclesonide A glucocorticoid used in the symptomatic relief of nasal symptoms associated with seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis in adults and adolescents. Pheniramine An antihistamine used to treat allergic rhinitis and pruritus. Mepyramine An antihistamine agent used for the symptomatic treatment of allergy, hypersensitivity reactions, and pruritic skin disorders. Antazoline An antihistamine agent used for the symptomatic treatment of nasal congestion and allergic conjunctivitis. Dimetindene A 1st generation selective H1 antagonist used topically as an antipruritic and orally to treat allergies. Tixocortol A corticosteroid used for the symptomatic treatment of rhinitis, pharyngitis, and ulcerative colitis. Dexamethasone isonicotinate Dexamethasone isonicotinate is an anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic glucocorticoid that can be administered orally, by inhalation, topically, and parenterally. Its unintended mineralocorticoid action may cause salt and water retention. Oxatomide An antihistamine indicated in the treatment and prevention of allergic symptoms. Fluticasone A corticosteroid indicated in the treatment of corticosteroid responsive dermatoses, asthma, and COPD. Cromoglicic acid A medication used to treat asthma, allergic reactions of the eyes and nose, as well as other mast cell reactions. Levocabastine A selective histamine H1 receptor antagonist indicated for the management of seasonal allergic conjunctivitis symptoms. Bepotastine An ophthalmic H1 antagonist used to treat itchiness associated with allergic conjunctivitis. Mometasone furoate A corticosteroid used to treat asthma, allergic rhinitis, nasal congestion, nasal polyps, dermatitis, and pruritus. Loteprednol A corticosteroid indicated in the treatment of pain and inflammation after cataract surgery. Methapyrilene Methapyrilene, formerly marketed in many drug products, was shown to be a potent carcinogen. Manufacturers voluntarily withdrew methapyriline drug products from the market in May and June 1979. Tranilast For the treatment of bronchial asthma, keloid and hypertrophic scar, and allergic disorders such as asthma, allergic rhinitis and atopic dermatitis. Suplatast Suplatast is under investigation in clinical trial NCT05983471 (Efficacy and Safety of ME-015 (Suplatast Tosilate) in Cough Related to Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (COSMIC-IPF)).
